Thomas McDonell (b. 1986, New York) lives and works in Los Angeles. McDonell applies urethane alkyd enamel with his hands, focusing his attention on a collision of raw materials. Eschewing brushes, oils and acrylics, McDowell's paintings are their own palettes, sites of origin.
